In 1984, Benjamin Bloom measured something schooling has never gotten over: average students, tutored one‑on‑one with mastery learning, performed about two standard deviations above the conventional classroom. The reason is structural — a classroom must move twenty‑five children at one pace, so the pace is wrong for nearly every child in the room. Your home doesn't have that problem. Our whole job is making the tutoring advantage effortless to use: see exactly where your child is, know exactly what comes next, and check that it truly stuck.

Different cuts — same amount. The bars fill to exactly the same line, because ½, 2⁄4 and 4⁄8 are the same number wearing different clothes. In the app, kids fold and drag the bars themselves.

Two pizzas, exactly the same size. Mom cuts the first into two big slices, and the second into four smaller ones. Maya takes one big slice — that's one half. Sam takes two small slices — that's two quarters. Hold them up side by side: same amount of pizza, cut different ways. That's all equivalent fractions are — different names for the same amount.

Equivalent fractions are different names for the same amount. When you multiply the top and the bottom of a fraction by the same number, you haven't changed how much there is — only how many pieces it's cut into.

Worked example.  Start with ½. Multiply top and bottom by 2 → 2⁄4. The pieces doubled, each piece got half as big, and the amount stayed exactly the same. So ½ = 2⁄4 = 4⁄8.

Schools file children by birth year. Real kids don't cooperate — the same nine‑year‑old can be a fourth‑grade reader, a third‑grade scientist, and still shoring up second‑grade fractions. We start from the grade you choose, then quietly find each subject's true level and teach from there. Placement without shame. Acceleration without ceilings.

Paperwork, handled

Homeschooling is legal in all fifty states. The paperwork shouldn't be the hard part.

From Texas's nothing‑at‑all to New York's quarterly reports — tell us your state and the rules become a checklist with dates. Attendance logs, portfolios, and report packs assemble themselves from what your kids actually did. Move mid‑year? Records recompute under the new state's rules, all the way back to September.

    No "your streak dies at midnight." Your child's attention is not our crop.

    Nothing that teaches a seven‑year‑old to pull a lever.

  3. No public leaderboards for children.

    And no cross‑family social feeds. Your homeschool is not a stage.

  4. No infinite sessions.

    Lessons end on purpose, with a closing ritual — not a cliffhanger.

  5. No ads. Ever. On any surface.

    And no selling or sharing family data. The subscription is the entire business.

  6. No difficulty tricks to farm engagement.

    Difficulty answers to one authority: what helps your child learn. Never to a retention curve.

And one promise that isn't a refusal: sometimes the best lesson ends with "go outside." We intend to be the only learning app that says so.

When can we use it?

Right now — all ten trails above are live and free, no account needed. The full adaptive engine and parent cockpit come next.

What does it cost?

The Preschool and Kindergarten Trails are free, and the First through Eighth Grade Trails are early previews — free while we build them, part of the family plan later. Pricing stays simple: one price per family — never per child.

What about subjects we don't teach yet?

The cockpit plans and logs any curriculum from day one — Saxon, a co‑op class, piano. This is home base even before our engine covers every subject.

Is my child's data safe?

The account is yours, not your child's. No ads, no data sales, no third‑party trackers on child screens, and full export of everything, anytime. Records must outlive any company — including ours.
