My Senses Book

Review the five senses by making a simple picture book, one page per sense.

You have explored all five senses. Now make a book about them.

Each page shows one sense: sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch.

📋 For the teacher
Teach it (10–15 min):
  • Staple or tape a few pieces of paper together to make a simple blank book.
  • Let your child draw or scribble on each page; a perfect picture is not the goal.
  • Write their words underneath each drawing as they tell them to you.
  • Read the finished book together out loud, sense by sense.
Talk about it:
  • Which page of your book is your favorite?
  • Can you show me your sight page and tell me what you love to see?
  • Which sense do you think you use the most every day?

Mastery looks like: They can name all five senses, in any order, and match each one to the right body part.

Common stumbles: Forgetting one sense in the list is common; a quick point to eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and hands usually jogs the memory.
