Animal Homes Show

Review different animal homes learned this unit and match animals to where they live.

You have learned about many animal homes this month: nests, farms, water, and your own cozy blanket nest.

Put on a little show and match animals to their homes.

📋 For the teacher
Teach it (10–15 min):
  • Look back at the animals talked about this month: pets, birds, bugs, farm animals, and fish.
  • Let your child act out or narrate each animal home like a little show for you.
  • Ask why does that animal live there for at least one animal, to build understanding, not just memory.
  • Celebrate how much they remember. This is a fun recap, not a test.
Talk about it:
  • Which animal home was your favorite to learn about this month?
  • Which animal would you like to visit in real life?
  • Why do different animals need different kinds of homes?

Mastery looks like: They can correctly match at least three animals from this unit to their real home.

Common stumbles: Mixing up which home goes with which animal is expected with so many new facts; matching games help more than quizzing from memory.
