Weather-reporter presentation

Deliver a short weather report that accurately describes today's weather and one pattern from the week's chart.

This week you put everything together. A real weather reporter on television looks at the sky and the data, then tells everyone what is happening and what already happened. Today, you are the weather reporter.

A good report uses real words like sunny, windy, or cool, and real information from your chart, not just guesses.

📋 For the teacher
Teach it (10–15 min):
  • Help your child check the real weather and glance at the chart right before the report.
  • Let them use a toy microphone or stand somewhere special, like a real reporter would.
  • Film or perform the report for another family member if you can.
  • Celebrate specific details in the report, not just enthusiasm.
Talk about it:
  • What was the most interesting weather you saw this month?
  • Which tool did you like using best: the chart, the rain gauge, or the wind sock?
  • What do you want to keep watching in the sky?

Mastery looks like: They deliver a short weather report that accurately names today's weather and correctly states one real pattern from the week's chart.

Common stumbles: Reporting from memory or imagination instead of checking the real chart and sky first; rushing through without any real detail.
