Family Share Day

Share something special about your family, such as a photo, food, or tradition, in two or three clear sentences.

This week you get to share something special about your family with someone else, like a photo, a favorite food, or a family tradition.

Sharing about your family helps other people get to know you better.

📋 For the teacher
Teach it (10–15 min):
  • Help your child choose one real, meaningful family item or tradition to share, not too many at once.
  • Practice the mini presentation together a few times so it feels comfortable.
  • Ask your child a gentle follow-up question so they practice answering, not just reciting.
  • Celebrate the sharing warmly afterward, however it goes.
Talk about it:
  • What did you choose to share, and why?
  • What is one family tradition you love?
  • What did you learn about someone else's family this week?

Mastery looks like: They can present two or three clear sentences about a chosen family item or tradition.

Common stumbles: Feeling shy about presenting is common; rehearsing at home first, in a low-pressure way, usually helps.
