All About Me

Describe yourself with words and pictures, including your name, age, family, and one favorite thing.

You are one of a kind! This week you will make an All About Me poster that tells others who you are: your name, your age, your family, and things you like.

A poster uses words and pictures together. You can draw pictures, and a grown-up can help you write the words.

📋 For the teacher
Teach it (10–15 min):
  • Get a big piece of paper and let your child choose where each part of the poster goes.
  • Write down exactly what your child says, in their own words, even if it is simple.
  • Let your child draw their own picture of themselves at the top.
  • Hang the finished poster somewhere the family will see it, like the kitchen or their bedroom door.
Talk about it:
  • What makes you special?
  • What is your favorite thing about your family?
  • What do you want people to know about you?

Mastery looks like: They can state their name, age, and at least two true facts about themselves without help.

Common stumbles: Feeling unsure what to say at first is normal; a few starter questions almost always unlock plenty of ideas.
