Trapezoids and kites — Homework
Apply the trapezoid midsegment formula, isosceles trapezoid properties, and kite properties as needed.
- 1.A trapezoid has bases of length 14 and 22. Find the length of its midsegment.
- 2.A trapezoid has a midsegment of length 19, and one base is 13. Find the other base.
- 3.An isosceles trapezoid has a base angle of 105 degrees. Find the OTHER base angle along the same base, and the base angle connected to it by a leg.
- 4.In kite PQRS, diagonal PR joins the two vertices where the congruent side-pairs meet, so PR bisects the other diagonal, QS. If QS = 22, find the length of each piece.
- 5.A kite has one pair of opposite angles measuring 40 degrees and 40 degrees, and the other pair measuring x and y (not necessarily equal). Explain which pair is guaranteed congruent and why.
